Alice Miller Shortlisted for The MHPP 2012 |
Alice Miller was born in Wellington, New Zealand in
1982. She earned an MA with Distinction
from the International Institute of Modern Letters in New Zealand, and an MFA
from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she was a Glenn Schaeffer Fellow. Since 2008, she has received the Royal Society
of New Zealand Manhire Prize, the Creative New Zealand Johnson Bursary, the Landfall Essay Prize, and the BNZ
Katherine Mansfield Premier Award for short fiction. Most recently, she received a fellowship to write
in Antarctica. Alice’s poems have
appeared or are forthcoming in The Boston
Review, The Wolf, The Iowa Review, Poetry Salzburg Review, and Best New Zealand Poems.
